Overview
The infamous Greek Islands provide an endless array of stunning scenery that consists of turquoise waters, pristine sands and picturesque villages that are steeped in history.
This ten day charter includes all the must see locations such as Paros, famous for miles upon miles of golden white sands and cities that are bursting with tradition and splendour.
Athens to Kea
Embark in Athens and cruise to Kea.
Kea stands out from the other islands in the Cyclades by its remarkable secluded and setting. Visit multiple and remote small coves that are mainly accessible by boats. You may also spend some time hiking or cycling through the untamed landscape of lush green fertile valleys, almond groves and vineyards.
Mykonos
In the morning, cruise to glamorous Mykonos. Enjoy the island’s lively atmosphere. Head to some stunning beaches such as Platys Gialos, Kapari or Fokos. They are all family friendly and great for swimming. In the late afternoon, visit the old town and wander around the high end clothes and jewellery shops.
Delos
Enjoy the late morning in Mykonos before taking a short cruise to Delos in the afternoon.
Delos is a small and rocky island that’s teeming with historical artefacts. Often acclaimed as being ‘the most sacred’ one, it is according to ancient Greek mythology, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Take time to wander around the ancient ruins of one of the world’s most important archaeological sites, that is protected by UNESCO World Heritage.
Paros and Ios
Leave Mykonos early in the morning to arrive in the pretty island of Paros.
With its charming blue-domed churches and quaint fishing villages, Paros is picture-postcard perfect. The locals reply on exports of its quality exported marble, hence why it is known as the ‘white island’. Head to the sandy and rocky Piperi beach for fun water sport activities, including swimming, scuba diving and fishing.
Cruise to Ios, where you will spend the rest of the day on the island famed for its golden beaches and white washed blue-roofed buildings that cluster on its undulating hillsides.
Santorini
In the morning, cruise to the spellbinding island of Santorini (also known as Thira or Thera).
Go to the striking black-coloured volcanic Kamari beach for the day, to enjoy exhilarating speed boat and scuba diving activities. When the sun starts going down, head to Oia to watch what it is said the most beautiful sunset on Earth.
Sifnos
Cruise north to explore Sifnos. The island boasts the most scenic bays and beaches.
Platis Gialos, Kamares or Faros beaches are the most famous. There’s also Vathi beach – one of the most attractive. While you are there visit Atsonios’ pottery workshop, the oldest in the island. In the afternoon, you may wish to go diving, especially as Sifnos’ thriving sea beds are considered among the prettiest in the world.
Syros
Cruise to the calm gorgeous island of Syros.
Dock at Hermoupolis (the city of Hermes) and capital of Syros Island. A must see is the Apollo Theatre (a miniature version of Milan’s La Scala) and host venue for the Festival of the Aegan in July. Drive up to Ano Syros to get a fabulous panoramic view of the island.
Athens
We complete this wonderful circular cruise ending where we began in Athens.
The cradle of ancient civilisation, Athens has over 3,400 years of history in its foundations. Numerous archaeological sites dot the city such as the Parthenon temple, the Acropolis Museum, along with the National Archaeological Museum.
Enjoying recent modernisation of its infrastructure and culture, Athens is a great place to soak up the relaxing Greek way of life.
