A Maldives yacht charter is defined by atoll-hopping, short Indian Ocean passages, kaleidoscopic reef systems and a blend of extraordinary marine life and island tranquillity that exists nowhere else on the planet. From the marine reserve dive sites of Guraidhoo Kandu and the bioluminescent shores of Goidhoo to the iconic Shipyard wreck of the Lhaviyani Atoll and the luxury overwater resort at Kuredu, routes are shaped around your pace, whether that means active diving days and reef encounters or quiet anchorages and unhurried swim days onboard.
Princess Yacht Charter curates each luxury yacht charter in the Maldives around your timing and preferences, carefully matching yacht, crew and itinerary to your group so the experience feels seamless from embarkation to return.
The Maldives is one of the Indian Ocean’s most rewarding cruising regions, where 1,200 coral islands across 26 atolls mean short passages between dive sites of extraordinary variety — reef walls, underwater archways, wreck dives, coral gardens and night fishing beneath clear starry skies.
The contrast between the local Rasdhoo island community of 1,200 residents and the five-star overwater resort experience of One & Only Reethi Rah allows itineraries to move naturally between authentic island life and premium luxury. The marine reserve status of several dive sites means local knowledge and thoughtful planning are essential.

The main charter season runs from November to April, the dry northeast monsoon season, when the weather is at its most settled, visibility is exceptional and the sea is calm. Temperatures stay between 26 and 30°C throughout.
May to October brings the southwest monsoon, with more cloud and occasional rain but still warm water and continued excellent diving conditions. Whale shark sightings increase during the wetter months in certain atolls. Local knowledge is essential for timing visits to the best sites.

Yes. Warm, shallow water across many of the atolls, the bioluminescent plankton experience, turtle encounters and resort facilities at stops like Kuredu make it very family-friendly.
The Maldives is typically chartered as a standalone destination given its remote Indian Ocean location. Malé is well connected by international flights and works well as the embarkation and disembarkation point.
