Princess Yachts V39 Wins Boat of the Year Awards
22nd janvier 2013
Princess Yachts International enjoyed yet another successful evening at the annual IPC Marine Media’s Motor Boat of the Year Awards where the Princess V39, which has received high praise from the worlds boating media since her launch last year, picked up the coveted title of ‘Motor Boat of the Year’ for Sportscruisers up to 45ft.
This latest award demonstrates how Princess are continuing to lead the way in the competitive performance motor yacht sector with the Princess V52, V62 and V45 V Class sports yacht having all claimed the title of best sportscruiser in previous years. Managing Director Chris Gates was delighted with the accolade. “We knew even before we launched her at London last year that the V39 was going to be another highly successful model for us, stunning looks, breathtaking performance and incredible volume make her a highly desirable craft but her level of specification and exceptional value for money make her a very special boat indeed. We’re delighted this was also the opinion of the judges in what was an extremely competitive category”.
The V39’s award winning performance has been achieved by using the latest resin infusion technology to produce the hull and decks to reduce weight, increase torsional strength and improve efficiency. This coupled with a unique hull design and powerful Volvo D6-330 engines ensures the new V39 is both exhilarating and economical with quick transition to plane and highly efficient cruising speeds. Her interior is incredibly light and spacious and, as with every Princess, she is finished with the finest materials, craftsmanship and detailing throughout providing the feeling of a much larger craft.
This is not the first award for the V39 either with the model claiming the title of Best Import Motoryacht 30-40ft at the AIM Media Marine Group Editor’s Choice Award 2012.
The V39 was just one of an impressive ten boat display at the Tullet Prebon London International Boat Show including the new Princess 52 and 82 Motor Yacht both of which received their world premiers at the show. The model is also on display on stand 6B21 at Boot Dusseldorf 2013.
